Mealtimes are mornings (8:00 am) and evenings (6:00 pm). Please pack each meal separately, in individual Zip-loc type plastic bags or washable/reusable or compostable containers. To calculate the number of meals you will need to pack for your dog, just double the number of nights. For example, if your dog is staying with us for five nights, you would pack ten meals. We recommend making your dog’s meals a bit larger than usual because they are generally more active than at home (unless you want your dog to lose weight). You may also wish to pack extra meals, in case you are delayed during your travels. Please check bag contents carefully – we have found foreign objects such as toothpicks, rubber bands, and even nails, inside food bags.
Even if you normally feed your dog one time per day, we request that you follow our meal preparation guidelines so your dog can eat along with the other dogs twice a day. For your convenience, we have a supply of recycled Zip-loc type plastic bags in the lobby. You are welcome to use these free of charge. During peak boarding times, if meals are unbagged or not packed separately, there is a $.50 packaging fee for each meal.

We will gladly add canned foods to meals if requested. Bring unopened cans and we will open as needed.
We will feed raw foods, meat or veggies if they are completely prepared inside individual pre-packaged zip-locked plastic bags or individual serving sized plastic containers that can be emptied directly into the food bowl. Due to contamination issues, we do not want our staff to handle raw foods. We will refrigerate or freeze meals as needed.
Food “logs” or “rolls” must be pre-sliced into individual servings (unsliced food logs will be returned). We will instead serve your dog premium kibble and your account will be charged $2 per meal.
Please include any treats or vitamins inside baggies with meals. We are not able to give midday treats or bedtime snacks.
If you wish to have your baggies or containers returned to you, please label them clearly and let us know. We will make every effort to get them returned to you!
If we find that the number of meals is short, we will provide your dog with premium kibble ($1 per meal). Alternatively, if you’ve packed extra meals, these will be returned to you.
Sorry, we do not give rawhides, Greenies, bully sticks or anything we consider to be a choking hazard, including toys. Even though the risk is low, keeping your dog safe is a top priority for us.
